Machine Gun Preacher
Even thinking about writing about this film is giving me chills and I couldn't have found a better movie to be back with my reviews. If you got a heart,a soul and a little humanity left within yourself, this movie will surely move you and leave you clueless with the most powerful performance given by Gerard Butler.
It is based on the life of Sam Childers (Gerard Butler), who without giving much away, have a tough time in prison and led a notorious life as a member of a biker gang, finds God and embarks on undertaking missionary work in civil war-torn Sudan, leaving his loyal, loving wife Lynn Childers (Michelle Monaghan) who helps him find the same faith she found which led to leaving her stripping career and his young loving daughter Paige (Madeline Carrol) back home in Pennsylvania. This movie follows Sam's juggling how his Christian faith inspires him at home and also in Sudan.
This powerful drama will touch all your desires of taking the world on by yourself and satisfy your need of knowing how one person can hold on to his faith and with all the conflicts that he fighting within himself and yet have such a profound effect on a community.Would the audience have the courage to do what Sam did? That is a question facing the audience as they leave the movie, along with the images which will haunt the audience to the blunt reality and the truth of genocide.
A must watch ..
My rating 8/10
