CASTLE

Castle is a mystery cum comedy cum drama, starring Nathan Fillion(Firefly) in the title role.

Rick Castle is a famous mystery novelist who is suffering from writers block after killing off the main character of his novels,in his last novel. He is contacted by NYPD,to assist them in solving a copycat serial killer case. There he meets Detective Kate Beckett(Stana Katic)and immediately decides to make her the main character of his next novel. He uses his connections with the mayor, allowing him to accompany Beckett while investigating cases.

This is a light hearted show. It's not very graphic and has ample doses of comedy in each episode. Each episode deals with someone's murder. At the same time a romantic attraction develops between the two leads but nothing concrete happens.Infact, the show is at the end of it's third season and still nothing conclusive has happened on the romance front. Both are attracted to each other but they never fully express their feelings to each other.Castle has a teenage daughter,Alexis(Molly Quinn) who is extremely intelligent and probably more responsible than her father.Castle's mother Martha Rodgers(Susan Sullivan) also lives with him.She is an off and on actress.Other characters on board are Rueben Santiago Hudson as Beckett's chief,Jon Huertas as Esposito,a police detective, his parter detective Kevin Ryan(Seamus Deaver) and Tamala Jones as Dr Lanie Parish, the poloce medical examiner.

It is a fun family show.Castle has recently been renewed for a fourth season.

My rating for the show is 7/10.

NCIS:LOS ANGELES

NCIS:LOS ANGELES is a spin-off of the hit tv show NCIS, which itself is a spin-off of JAG.The show is currently in it's second season. The show is a blend of action, mystery, suspense and some subtle comedy.

The series follows the cases handled by the NCIS team. They deal with cases involving navy personnel and crimes pertaining to navy. The NCIS team is headed by G.Callen(Chris o'Donnell). His partner is Special Agent Sam Hanna(LL Cool J),an ex-navy seal.Callen is an orphan who spent his childhood in as many as 37 foster homes.During the course of the first season it is also revealed that he had a sister also and that his father might still be alive. His search for answers about his childhood continue in season 2 also.Callen is shrewd, efficient and totally commited to his work. His partner Sam is fluent in Arabic and familiar with Middlle East culture.Kensi Blye(Daniela Ruah) and Dominic Vail(Adam Jamal Craig) are the other field agents in the team.Agent Dom is killed towards the end of season 1 and is replaced by Detective Marty Deeks(Eric Christian Olsen) of LAPD in season 2.Peter Cambor played team's operational psychologist in season 1 but his character is sent off to a place, whose identity is not revealed until the mid of season 2.I don't want spoil the fun by revealing the place.I guess you will just have to watch the show to find out the answers.Barrett Foa is Eric Beale, the team's technical analyst and the team is rounded off by Linda Hunt who plays operations manager Hetty Lange,a one time agent with a mysterious past. She is the mother figure of the team.

I love this show because of it's intriguing plots and the camaraderie between the team members. The first season was superb but the second season, although good,is not of season 1 standard. The problem i find with this show is that the producers are trying too many things at this early stage of the show. There is too much chopping and changing going on with the characters. The team psychologist is dispensed with at the start of season 2.Agent Blye's partner,Dom is killed in season 1 and is replaced with Detective Deeks. To make matters worse, the producers have introduced this angle of romantic attraction between Blye and Deeks. There is clear romantic friction between the two in season 2.This, i think is not helping the show.A junior techincal analyst(Renee Smith) has also been introduced in season 2.These many changes in a new show are unusual and if the producers keep on doing this, then i am afraid that the show's fan base would decline very quickly. It takes time for viewers to warm upto characters in a tv show.I hope the makers of the show realize this.

I would rate the show a 8 out of 10.

Red Line

The movie starts with A gorgeous young automobile fanatic and front to the hottest unsigned band on the West coast--finds herself caught up in illegal drag-racing competitions organized by exotic car fanatics."Redline" is an auto/action thriller that features an extensive exotic car collection. The movie features a Phantom Rolls Royce, Lamborghini,Murcielago, Enzo Ferrari, Ferrari F430, Ferrari Scaglietti and two Mercedes SLR McLaren AMGs. A $450,000 Porsche Carrera GT is actually crashed during one sequence. Eddie Griffin accidentally crashed and destroyed the Enzo Ferrari, one of only 400 ever produced. The film follows an ace driver who becomes part of illegal drag racing

According to Nadia Bjorlin who plays the character of Natasha Martin says, There are cars that get you from point A to point B. And then there are cars that get you from point A to point B really fast. Fast cars cost big money, and with millions of dollars at stake, there are people who'll do anything to win. People who take risks and never play it safe. The movie basically talks about the racing world out there with the most experience and skilled drivers out there who know how to handle those fast machines and how to do their job in seconds. The movie shows some most amazing races that you have never seen before with the most exotic and powerful cars like the Ferrari Enzo , Porsche carrera GT and Slr maclaren.

As I am a hardcore racing fan and a major car fanatic to I loved the movie, It tells you how the racing world and the bookies out there operate and earns millions of dollars just by betting through this platform at the same time the movie tells you that how much is it risky to have machines like these and what can be the consequences of it. The movie itself is a thrill to watch with amazing action and I would recommend every one out there to watch it J

WELCOME TO THE RILEY'S

Well it is a simple story about a family named RILEY'S, the family lost there daughter and were living in wilderness, and husband and wife rarely even, talk leaving the husband with a sense of guilt for their daughter's death and the wife who likes being aloof from all worldly acts and had just enclosed herself indoors. Doug Riley (JAMES GANDOLFINI) had a mistress with whom he used to pass his time .After death of Vivian  the mistress (EISA DAVIS) doug was bewildered. On a bussiness trip to baton, doug found a teenage girl at a strip club Allison MIllory (KRISTEN STEWART) whom he offered to come and live with him in his house and would pay him daily, without asking for any sexual desires or services rest intresting bit about how life changes and takes turn for doug is intrestingly portraid in the movie.

For KRISTEN STEWART the famous actress from the TWILIGHT SERIES which needs no introduction, the role was a challenging one and the we have'nt seen her performing such roles yet, though beautifuuly performed. Overall i liked the picture because it is a different one from the usual love stories, science fiction all agent's missions. Parental Guidance is recommended for children as the movie contains sexual and language content.Good story lineup ,good plot. I'd rate the movie 7-10. Have a good time watching it.

HAWAII FIVE-O

Hawaii Five-o is a modern reworking of the classic tv show of the same name which ran for 12 seasons, from 1968 to 1980.The new show is not a complete remake of the original show. It has been updated and upgraded to appeal to a new generation of viewers. The old show was more of a mystery/crime show and had a sombre feel to it.Yes, there was action in it but those sequences were few and far between. The new show on the other hand focuses more on the action aspect and gives you an exhilarating adrenaline rush throughout the episode. Infact, the show brilliantly combines elements of action, mystery, suspense, drama and comedy into one neat package.

The show follows the cases handled by a special task force created by the Governor of Hawaii. The task force also assists the Honolulo Police in its cases. The task force is only answerable to the Governor of Hawaii, for its actions and reports only to her. The team is headed by Steve McGarrett (Alex o'Loughlin of Moonlight),an ex-navy seal who returns to Hawaii to find his father's killers. His father had been a friend of the present Governor Pat Jameson (Jean Smart). McGarrett picks Honolulu Police Detective Danny Williams(Scott Caan) as his partner.Danny is the officer investigating McGarrett's father's murder in the pilot episode but is then taken off the case once the task force is formed.Danny hates Hawaii but he gets himself transferred from Newark Police Department because his ex-wife Rachel moves to Hawaii with their 8 year old daughter Grace, whom Danny loves more than anyone else in his life .McGarret then selects Chin Ho Kelly(Daniel Dae Kim). Chin Ho was once the protege of McGarret's father(his father was a cop) but he left the force after being falsely accused of corruption. The final member of the team is Kono Kalakaua (Grace Parks). She is a recent graduate from the Honolulu Police Department Academy and also Chin Ho Kelly's younger cousin.Kono looks upto Chin Ho as his elder brother and the only reason she joins the police is because of Chin Ho's heroics. She is the only one in their family who believes that Chin Ho was falselt implicated.

The task force covers different sorts of cases, dealing from terrorists and kidnappers to hackers and robbers. Each episode follows a certain case with McGarrett and his team trying to solve the case quickly.McGarrett's search for his father's killers runs as a parrallel story throughout the series.Later, in the show more secrets are revealed regarding McGarrett's mother's death, but i don't want spoil the fun for whoever read's this review.I would suggest that you watch the show to find out all the answers.

I love the show because it's so different from the other shows being shown on tv these days. There are plenty of shows on air but very few can be called quality shows. This is high quality stuff. The stories are terrific and the chemistry between the actors is unbelievable. But the best thing about this show is the mindblowing chemistry between the two main leads, Alex o'Loughlin and Scott Cann.It makes for great fun.The show is a fast paced action ride and would definitely appeal to action aficionados.

An interesting piece of information about the show is that the character of Kono, played by Grace Parks was actually played by a male actor in the original.Another interesting fact is that although Grace Parks is shown as the youngest member of the team, in reality she is older than both Alex o'Loughlin and Scott Caan, both of whom were born in 1976.Parks was born in 1974 and Daniel Dae Kim in 1968. Oh yes....the show does feature the famous line 'BOOK EM' DANO'.

I would rate the show a 9.5 out of 10.I know the rating is very high but believe me,it deserves this rating.
