PROM

The movie starts of with a group of people prepare for their college Prom night, they’re all great looking. A cross between Keanu Reeves and Johnny Depp, who incidentally is playing Depp’s younger self Young Barnabas Collins in the vampire outing Dark Shadows. There’s not an average looker or poor performance in the bunch. These add the extra crunch in the movie and makes it far more interesting through their performances.

The kids are preparing for prom in their own interesting and unique ways on the other hand some ask their dates out early, some are scared to, others decide they’ve lost out before they start; some are eternal optimists who just know they’ll be there with someone special when the Prom King and Queen are named, And it’ll be them, for sure.

The buzz phrase is “it doesn’t matter who you’ve been for four years… were all the same at Prom” is slightly frightening but intended to be welcoming and inclusive.
Teegarden’s Nova is in charge of Prom night, ironically called Starry Night. It’s her duty to decorate the gym, arrange the King and Queen competition, delegate helpers and get it done. They begin well, but one by one she’s abandoned by her deputized friends and takes the load on herself.

The riskiest and most interesting character is Tyler (Nixon) whose considerable charm and good natured attitude masks low down behavior and absurd views towards women. He’s juggling girls, he inadvertently burns down the prom prop house and all Nova’s decorations, and keeps it secret, and carries on regardless. This is again another very important character and a hilarious one to whom I assure you will love to watch as he keeps the movie interesting.

The film’s no intellectual or cinematic exercise, but it’s easy going and likeable, good clean fun for Prom-goers and heavy on the eye candy, And it’s interesting that each character has a defined and separate experience from the others. I would recommend every one to watch this movie who love to experience a taste of Prom. The problems the kids face are diverse and realistic.

RIO

THE MOVIE IS From the makers of the hit ICE AGE series comes RIO, a comedy adventure about taking a walk on the wild side. Blu is a domesticated Macaw who never learned to fly, living a comfortable life with his owner and best friend Linda in the small town of Moose Lake, Minnesota. Blu and Linda think he's the last of his kind, but when they learn about another Macaw who lives in Rio de Janeiro, they head to the faraway and exotic land to find Jewel, Blu's female counterpart. Not long after they arrive, Blu and Jewel are kidnapped by a group of bungling animal smugglers. With the help of street smart Jewel, and a group of wise-cracking and smooth-talking city birds, Blu escapes. Now, with his new friends by his side, Blu will have to find the courage to learn to fly, thwart the kidnappers who are hot on their trail, and return to Linda, the best friend a bird ever had.
Blu, the last male of his kind, is the happiest macaw, out there in a snowy town with Linda, his nerdy owner. Jewel, the last female of her kind, lives in Brazil, and is the saddest macaw, imprisoned in a cage and fighting for her freedom. She's a free-spirited soul, with the world at her feet. Blu has lived a sheltered life, can't fly, and loves every minute of it. What happens when they meet? Anyone above the age of 7 can guess how it ends (age 5 if he's seen the trailer). But there's so much delight from the first minute to the last, that you don't want it to end.
I was one of the lucky few to watch the premiere of Rio in Rio, and at this point I can hardly wait to see it again. A Brazilian, Carlos Saldanha, directed the movie, and it shows. The details of the city are all there, but so is the big picture (you know, everything that really matters, along with wide panoramas of Rio by night, of a crowded beach, of a sunset in the cable cars of Santa Teresa).
Lots of AMAZING aerial views in the action scenes. The main characters are birds, thus flying should be expected. Many of those places showed in the movie can be visited by tourists.
Rio doesn't have the depth of stories such as Toy Story or Up. It is a simpler plot. It is, however, pure fun from start to finish, and visually stunning. Location, location, location. As a native of Rio, I could recognize most places, and was stunned with how realistic were the slums, and how the geography of the city, especially the mountains, could be so painstakingly reproduced.
The movie is not a musical, but it comes close to it. There's funk, bossa nova, a few clichés of Brazilian music and even samba sang in English (still conflicted about it!).
There is also the portrayal of animal trafficking, a centuries-old problem in Brazil, and the subplot of a boy who lives on the streets and must resort to petty crime, which adds up to a much-needed social commentary

Band Baaja Baraat

One of the most refreshing bollywood movie I have seen in recent times. To be honest I had my doubts for this film even when it came with a yash raj banner and hardly few of their productions have ever disappointed me.This one movie should not be missed if you are a bollywood fan.

I always knew the horror for the cut throat business wedding planning have become, but this movie sends you right back to the basic fundamentals of the business, which we all so conveniently have forgotten in todays greedy world.

Bitto Sharma(Ranveer Singh) soon to be a college graduate is been told by his father that he will be asked to return to take care of the family business of sugar cane at his home village.Shruti Kakkar(Anushka Sharma)is soon to be a graduate herself, but unlike other girls in India who have their eyes set on their own wedding, she is thinking of becoming a wedding planner and starting up her own wedding planning business. They both meet at a wedding where Bitto is crashing the party with the crew and she is assiting the wedding arrangements.

Graduation day arrives and his father comes to delhi to take him back to the village, where he makes a big scene which is hilarious and tells him that he will not be going with him and instead will start a business here at delhi,on which his father leaves him with the bus fare and asking him to return when he comes back to his senses.Knowing Shruti ambitions,he goes begging to take him on as a business partner as he has no intention of going back and working with a machette to cut the sugar cane all his life.

They both end up starting Shaadi Mubarak, which takes off with arranging small weddings. For me seeing them conducting the business in a manner it should be and wanting to make a name for themselves coming from a middleclass background and without stepping on their rivals with the means of cheap marketing was truly a humble experience. They both end up big in wedding planning business when they arrange a wedding of a big business tycoon.

Chemisty between them both is amazing, with such colorful sets and beautiful view of delhi. The humour, dancing, weddings, teamwork and yeah there is also a item number in the movie, which all you bollywood fans so like these days is well executed by Maneesh Sharma making his directorial debut.

Best Quote of the movie is when shruti tells bitto the first rule of business, dont mix business with pleasure and he cannot end up falling in love with her.Irony is we always end up doing it anyways. Both of them also hit a rough patch in the movie which leads to an ugly rivalry. In simple words this movie has it all.You are sure to love this romantic comedy film which will leave you with a feel good factor.

Anushka Sharma is as natural as they come. Her face expressions are absolutely mind blowing in the movie.

I rate this movie 8..Have fun and let me know your feedback on the movie..

THANK YOU

This is a story about 3 friends namely Raj ( BOBBY DEOL), Yogi ( SUNIL SHETTY) and Vikram (IRFAN KHAN). theses 3 are happily married and are bussines partners, they enjoy company of other woman and are serial womanizers and very white collar and good character husbands posing in front of their wives, until Yogi the dumbest of three is caught with a girlfriend by his wife, the doubts starts building in other wives minds as well and thus Raj's wife Sanjana (SONAM KAPOOR) hires a private detective Kishan (AKSHAY KUMAR) to find out about her husband's affairs, though Vikram and Raj escapes every time Kishan tries to trap them but after couple of attempts the truth is unvieled, from there Kishan tries to change the habits of their husbands and to guide them towards right path.

Kishan does all this to help Sanjana and portrays as her boyfriend, background of kishan's story was that he was the same womanizer sort of a person couple of years before until his wife got to know about it and commited suicide ,from then on wards kishan was bent upon eliminating these practices from the society and to help such betrayed married woman.

The movie is an intresting mix of comedy and drama very well acted by IRFAN KHAN & AKSHAY KUMAR. First half of the movie is much more intresting then the second half as in the second half movie becomes bit dull and serious. But on the whole i enjoyed watching the movie, though not one of the blockbusters of AKSHAY KUMAR but a good movie to have a pleasent time.
I would rate the movie 6-10...
